Even in the base Ford Mustang, Rutland, VT drivers will get a thunderous turbocharged engine delivering incredible horsepower. There are also multiple EcoBoost and Fastback models that deliver more horsepower with intercooled turbocharged V6 engines.

At the top of the line, Ford also built the GT Premium and GT Premium Convertible models to now have 5.0-liter V8 engines. However, the Mach 1 Fastback is a manual option for those who want the most power and performance out of this sports car.

You’ll get the most fun out of the GT Premium models, but if you can test drive it, we suggest taking the Shelby GT for a spin. The Shelby GT500 Fastback is the sportiest of all with an intercooled supercharged premium V8 engine that gets 717 horsepower. Want to take a test drive?
